Welcome to a meditation retreat for both beginners and experienced, rooted in

the wisdom and tradition of Buddhism.

 

Course instructor Marit Moan has - in addition to being a psychologist - practiced meditation within

eastern psychology (Tibetan Buddhism) since 1999, and she has formal certification as a mindfulness instructor

and meditation facilitator from 2013. Her approach is emotion-focused and experiential.

She has a particular focus on strengthening the capacity for self-compassion, self-acceptance and self-care.

NB: This retreat can be carried out in silence for those who wish.

The silence is broken only by sharing and talking in the meditation hall. More information will be given during the introduction. You may also learn more about the practice of silence here.

10:00 Conversation and meditation (sitting and walking)

14:30 - 15:45 Meditation (sitting and walking) and conversation

16:00 Tea/coffee

16:30 – 19:00 Tour and free time

19:00 Dinner

20:30 - 21:30 Evening meditation and body scan (lying down meditation).

Sunday:

07:00 - 08:00 Sitting and walking meditation

08:00 Breakfast

09:00 Conversation and meditation (sitting and walking)

11:30 Lunch

12:30 Meditation, conversation and feedback

14:00 Departure

 

Karmayoga: Sharing practical tasks is a common part of a retreat. Tasks are then distributed (sweeping the floor, cleaning up after meals, simple cleaning, preparing meals, etc.), which will take about half an hour each day. More about Karma Yoga

We have yoga mats, blankets and meditation cushions/stools and chairs for your meditation practice

Prices including all meals:

Bring your own tent, camper or hammock: NOK 2,780,- per person

Quiet dormitory (4 - 6 beds with curtains between the beds, only for women): NOK 2,980 per person

Big family tent with mattress: NOK 2,980 per person

Shared room (two beds) (specify in the booking form if you chose this option): NOK 2,980 per person

Private room or cottage: NOK 3,480

Duvet and bed linen rental: NOK 200
